Rufus the Chicken - Contest Details

Thanks to all for playing! Rufus has been found!

The winner received $500, second place $50, and third place $25. Rufus had been birdnapped by someone and hid somewhere in the Lower Mainland. Where exactly was Rufus? That is where you came in! You had to find him, return him to his owner Norden The Magician and get $500 CASH! An additional $500, was donated to The Province Empty Stocking Fund by John Rogers of Prudential Sussex Realty.

The contest was a treasure hunt style. Anyone could play! You deciphered the clues and tried to track down his location. Remember, not everything in the ransom notes were clues...some were misleading so you had to figure out what was a red herring and what was relevant. Please read the answers page to find out what the clues meant.

The first ransom note came on October 9th, 2004. Other ransom notes followed every week and were posted between 4 and 8pm on Sunday. Over 500 people read the clues every Sunday and tons of people were out looking for him!
